Organic Mature Cheddar Cheese
Our award winning NZMPTM organic mature cheddar is manufactured from pasturised organic milk, sea salt, rennet and our own proprietary starter cultures. It’s carefully matured for a minimum of 10 months to develop a savoury, slightly fruity flavour. Our cheddar has a naturally soft golden colour with a crumbly texture and white calcium crystals which appear as the cheese matures.

The grass-fed difference
Our organic cheddar cheese has a natural soft golden colour, without the need for the addition of food colours.
The secret to our naturally golden cheese comes from our 365 days grass-fed and pasture-raised cows. New Zealand’s temperate climate means our organic cows are outdoors in the fresh air and sunlight, grazing on pasture.
It’s this diet of grass which leads to higher beta-carotene in our milk which gives the cheese its soft golden colour. It’s the grass-fed difference you can see.
